Electronics company PT LG Electronics Indonesia (LG) officially opened the LG Air Conditioning Academy, a training center for LG air conditioning experts in Indonesia.
Located at Jl. Panglima Polim No. 69 in Jakarta, the 226m² facility is divided into two main sections: a 90m² showroom and a 136m² training space.
Visitors will be able to browse LG’s flagship Multi V 5 range for the VRF market, which includes indoor and outdoor units along with their control accessories. Meanwhile, the training space will provide attendees with direct training from the LG team, which includes Spec In Engineer and Field Engineer.
“The opening of a special academy for personnel involved in the air conditioning of commercial buildings is part of our efforts to increase the satisfaction of customers who entrust their HVAC systems to LG,” said Lee Taejin, president of LG Electronics Indonesia, adding that as a product designed for commercial buildings, the air conditioning system had unique characteristics as it involved a large number of people from planning and installation to maintenance.
The training session will take place two to three times a week, carried out from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with material varying according to the needs of the participants.
Although participants or LG business partners who send their employees to participate will not be charged for the training, participants will be required to take special exams based on the material provided in order to maintain the quality of the training. LG will also provide a certificate of completion of the training according to the material taken.
“We believe that a better understanding of the different parties involved in this business will be an important key to strengthening our position in the competitive Indonesian HVAC market,” said Changmin Han, product manager of air solutions at PT LG Electronics Indonesia.

In its initial phase, the special training on commercial air conditioning and system air conditioning is limited to LG business partners, including the air cooling system planning team of a contractor or an engineering consulting company. , installers, technical project teams and building maintenance teams.
For interested business partners, Edy Sucipto, Air Solutions Sales Director of PT LG Electronics Indonesia, refers to the LG Air Conditioning Academy team either through LG sales force representatives or by the team dealing with business partners.
Although currently limited to LG’s business partners, the LG Air Conditioning Academy will also be open to training other parties in the future, including educational staff and engineering students who wish to learn the ins and outs of air conditioning systems for commercial buildings.
