A European luxury automaker has rolled out its connected cars to the road in 60 countries using Tata Communications MOVE. The automaker has implemented dual eSIMs in vehicles to support different use cases – one SIM for telematics and the other for navigation and infotainment services. This approach simplifies the invoicing process and optimizes costs for the business. It also ensures that local profiles can be easily selected and switched over the air anytime, anywhere.
A single layer of API abstraction provides seamless operations between different mobile network operators and between SIM card providers, for easy integration. Our access to over 700 mobile network operators ensures that there is no dependency on a single network. Tata Communications’ MOVE AI engine enables dynamic switching between mobile networks, to maintain optimal quality of service.
With our solution, the automaker was able to launch new connected car services initially in 60 countries where currently more than 200,000 cars actively use on-board services.
